From a handful of nuptial-flight captures in 2018 to a trusted supplier for ant shops across the world — this is our story.

2018 · Late nights, forum threads and our first test-tube queensWe stumbled into ant keeping in 2018 with nothing more than curiosity and the knowledge we could piece together from forums, Formiculture threads and social media. What began as a personal passion soon became a way to fund our collection of rare ants.
When the pandemic brought the world to a standstill, interest in the hobby surged. We began selling our personal colonies and nuptial-flight captures online, and the response was overwhelming. That was the moment Ants Subang was truly born, in 2020.
2022 · Every colony packed by hand f2018 · Late nights, forum threads and our first test-tube queensor its journey abroadBy 2022 we were gaining real traction abroad. We hesitated at first. The years between 2018 and 2019 had taught us how risky international shipping could be. But we saw the long-term potential and took the leap.
The transition was not easy. Overseas buyers often needed support we could not always provide, so we pivoted away from individual sales and began supplying ant shops and sellers abroad instead. That one decision changed everything.
We are like ants: we never give up, and we never tire.
Founder, Ants Subang
Ants Subang now operates from its own premises with a dedicated local team, a small circle of international partners, and a reputation built on trust.

We keep our focus on the colonies and the partners we serve, not on retail foot traffic. That is how we intend to stay.
A standalone business, free from outside influence and without sponsors. Our service and the quality of our ants speak for us.
Our founder, now 50, believes dedication is what keeps this hobby and this business alive. It is the same spark that started it all.
